The Donors Forum of Chicago surveyed their nonprofit partners in 2010 and found that

71% of organizations reported budget decreases in 2009

63% had only 3 months or less of cash reserves on hand; only 11% had more than 12 months cash reserves

44% of nonprofits reported reductions in their number of full-time paid staff compared to 19% in 2008.

41% reported decreased ability to meet service demands due to reduced funding and increased need. This was up from 22% in 2008.

68% reported reduced foundation giving

63% reported decreases in corporate sponsorships

62% reported declines in government funding, which led to cash flow problems. Of this amount, more than half reportedly experienced delayed payments from the State of Illinois.

Word Up: WE Can’t Handle The TRUTH: Can WE?

First I would like to state Word Up is a bible based column. If you are offended by my human error I humbly apologize however if you are offended by The Word of God(The Bible)take it up with him but I must warn you he won’t Change. Malachi 3:6 states I am The Lord Thy God I Change Not. You don’t have to have a PHD to interpret I change Not. Therefore if someone tells you that God changed or either Jesus changed everything either God is lying or that someone who says he changed is lying and since Titus 1:2 states God cannot lie who do you suppose is lying?
